We Defend Charges Alleging Violation of the Conditions of Post-Release Control, Parole, Probation, and Bond

And we can assist in pursuing early termination of community control sanctions (probation) or in petitioning the court to otherwise modify the conditions of community control

Probation is supervision in the community instead of incarceration in a state prison. Parole and post-release control are mechanisms to supervise a person after a prison term has been served. Bond supervision (sometimes called pretrial services or court-supervised release) is supervision as a condition of bond while you are awaiting trial or some other final disposition of your case.

If a person is found to be in violation of community control sanctions, a suspended prison term can be imposed. If parole is violated, a person can be returned to prison. If bond conditions are violated, a person can have bond revoked and be subject to incarceration in a jail.

At The Law Offices of Christopher Scott Maher we have an impressive arsenal of tools derived from decades of experience to assist you in navigating the twists and turns of the criminal justice system. We help you attempt to defeat the allegations of non-compliance, or we provide solutions to the court that result in your continued presence in the community without incarceration. This can be a delicate balance, but we are experts in this area.

In the event of a bond revocation we handle motions to reinstate bonds and, if necessary, we take the matter to a different court to pursue a Writ of Habeas Corpus in an effort to secure your release.

You want to be treated fairly while under supervision–and you don’t want a prison term imposed; and you don’t want your bond revoked

We have the legal tools to help. Perhaps most importantly, we employ creative approaches to help you comply with conditions of supervision at various stages of the criminal justice process. We have unique solutions that can only come with experience.
